JKL

JKL is a rhythm RPG action based game, featuring our main character: Lucy. Lucy is a member of a recently rising-in-fame, pop punk band. While on tour, they happen to get hit by their tour bus and fall into a coma from the injuries. The events of the game takes place inside this coma state, in a world that is parallel to the real one. Lucy has foggy memory and no recollection of what had transpired. In this process of recollecting their memories, Lucy meets 3 bosses that they must successfully defeat with music. Each time they defeat a boss, a memory of the incident comes back. Once they defeat all the bosses, they will wake up from their coma and discover who had killed them. 

My thesis was done with three of my peers, (Roann Cordova, Justine Magbitang, and Yannan Ma), each designing different aspects of our goal: a rhythm game. My personal goal was to further reach an understanding of visual development in game design within a confined time limit. I was the Art Director and made concept art, sculpted/3D Modelled, painted custom textures using UV unwrap, and rigged.

3D Models

3D Models and Sculpts before I custom painted the textures to imitate the concept art style I did. Then rigged the character and implemented it into game.
